Consistent quality for modding

I've bought the individual membership multiple times now for my son, and it's always been a smooth experience. This last time, I got the annual plan during a back to school offer. The content for Minecraft modding is still top-notch, just like previous years. We've used it for about three years. The editor access and tutorials are reliable. Good to see they keep adding new coding challenges.

Good for beginners

Got the coding for kids subscription for my niece. She liked the Minecraft modding courses. Setup was quick. No issues with access. She's learning Java programming. It was a good buy.

Roblox course experience

I signed up my daughter for the Roblox coding course last month. The ordering process was straightforward on their website, pretty intuitive. We opted for the monthly plan to start. Delivery isn't really a thing since it's online access, but the account activation was instant. I did contact support once because she had trouble with one of the Roblox Studio tutorials, and they replied within a few hours with a helpful link. The quality of the lessons is good, well-paced for kids. She picked up Lua programming pretty quickly. It works fine on our Mac. Overall, a solid platform for learning.

Easy to get into coding

My son wanted to try making his own games, so I grabbed him a subscription. I think it was an individual membership. Setting it up was super easy, just clicked a few buttons and he was in. He's been doing the drag and drop coding for Minecraft and having a blast. I didn't have to fuss with anything on my end, which was nice. It felt pretty safe too, so I wasn't worried about him being online. Just a good, simple way to get kids into coding without a lot of headaches.

hey has anyone used a discount code for code kingdoms before? trying to sign up my kid and wondering if there's always a deal floating around.

P Paula Kim 1 month ago
Yeah, I got 20% off my monthly plan when I signed up last year with a code I found. Just make sure to punch it in at checkout, only one per order though.

They do have sales pretty often, especially around holidays like Black Friday or back to school. I snagged 50% off an annual membership then. New customers or upgrades usually get the best codes.

Is the minecraft stuff actual mods or more like, just mini-games? My kid is really into actual modding.

W Wendy W. 1 month ago
It's actual modding, like they teach you Java for Minecraft Forge. My son made a custom sword and some new mobs for his game world, pretty cool.

They start with drag and drop, but quickly move to text-based coding. So yeah, they're learning the real languages needed for mods, not just basic commands.
